This book follows Honor Stone, who is reeling from the loss of her twin sister who was murdered. Enter Strike Madden, a wealthy business man she meets in the most unlikely of places—the morgue. This chance meeting leads to Strike hiring Stone to work at his erotic animation studio. A new job opportunity is great, but the biggest problem comes from her sisters killer who begins to target and stalk her.

I really enjoyed the experience of reading this book. When I bought this book I found it in the thriller section, however to me it was more heavily focused on the suspenseful, yet romantic relationship between there was a lot to love in this story. For one, this story was well-written, jaw-dropping, and fierce. You’ve got so many themes that are explored including, but not limited to grief(loss of a twin), trauma(relating to both characters past and present), obsession, self-discovery, love, and healing.
***
The plot of this book felt unique and throughout the story, you rooted for these characters and wanted them to find happiness, which was ultimatley found in one another. Strike and Stone had a lot of backstory which included lots of personal traumas that happened in their past that they were able to acknowledge and heal in one another. That being said, Strike was such a strong, complex, loyal male main character, who from the moment he met Honor was willing to protect her no matter the cost. If want to read about a sexy, rich, not cocky, loyal, daring, and self aware male main character I would reccomend reading this book. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about this story. This is a book I will definitely re-read in the future.
