The Serpent is the pseudonym behind @marydorak. She is a reader, writer and country music lover, who enjoys a good tv show, reading books in the sun, and spending time with her puppy Banjo. 

She graduated from Southern New Hampshire in 2024, earning her degree in Creative Writing.

Her debut poetry collection, Stitched Hearts takes readers on an autobiographical journey, discussing themes of childhood, relationships, mental health and grief, that readers will find heartbreaking and relatable.

She currently resides in Upstate New York.
